I crafted this custom spool for effortless use of filament scraps. It mirrors the width of a standard 1kg spool and features a slightly smaller outer diameter. By designing it this way, I avoided having to re-adjust my spool holder when working with leftovers. To optimize storage, I measure and store my scraps in baggies, minimizing clutter. These shorter filaments can then be neatly placed on the hub side of the spool without rewinding, after which the other side screws on like a secure cap.
