I was getting fed up with reels collecting dust on shelves everywhere, so I designed these holders using AutoDesk Inventor. You'll need a left-hand holder, a right-hand holder, and as many double-sided supports as you want in between. There's also a spacer to help you line up your supports while screwing them into the wall. Make sure the spacer is wide enough to fit most reels, but measure your spools first since they can vary by over 1/4 inch - that's my experience anyway! Print the tabs that attach to the wall flat on your printer table. Enjoy! I just added the completed project, right above a stack of technical books - easy to reach but out of the way!
