Filament Spool Stand
thingiverse
This stand holds two filament spools and measures around 12 inches tall. It prints in multiple pieces and will fit on a relatively small bed (6x9 inches). You can place different spools between the rod and the two hubs. The large hub fits the HatchBox spools with big holes, while I recently got one of this size. The medium hub fits all my other HatchBox spools. The rod without a hub fits the spools that came with my FlashForge Dreamer. Print Settings: Printer: FlashForge Dreamer Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 10-20% Notes: Rafts only needed for rods and maybe medium hub. Supports only required for base (small cylinders on top). This one was printed in PLA; ABS should work just fine. Post-Printing: Assembly: I assembled it with cyanoacrylate (super glue) since mine was printed in PLA. How I Designed This: Designed in SketchUp I used to design with a high-end CAD program called Vectorworks but have now switched to SketchUp because of its ease of use and vast online resources. Now, I can quickly design something like this in SketchUp. The picture shows individual components (spools not included). If the provided hubs don't fit your spools, you can easily draw your own or give me dimensions so I might add it.
