Filament Spool Roller Holder (1-5kg)

I needed a spool roller that was capable of holding this monster "Texas-style" 5kg spool from Zyltech. Slightly smaller roller for Polymaker's 3kg spools as well. Nothing (that I could find) would fit this beast and do so well so I had to roll my own. Various sizes are included to fit <.5kg all the way to the monster 5kg spools. Materials needed are 4x M3x10mm screws and nuts, 2x (or 4x) M3x6mm screws, and 4x 608zz bearings. You can find all these on ebay or Amazon or other 3D print stores. You will need to print a pair of: *Rollers *SidePlates *SupportBar *LockRing I have included various sizes from 4in to 7in (for the 5kg). Rule of thumb is to measure how wide your spool is and add 1" for the minimum. The bottom SupportBars come in two flavors, standard and wide. Wide is has wings so they can be screwed into something (like a desk or dry box like me). The lockrings are adjustable and locked into place by the 6mm M3 screws. The holes are made small enough so the screws create the threads. I printed everything in ABS with a 0.6mm nozzle.
