Filament Spool Rack
thingiverse
I got tired of having my spools on a regular holder and constantly swapping them out. The idea was to create a rack as long as I wanted, provided I had enough 8mm smooth rod. To make this happen, I needed several essential components: At least two supports were required, each consisting of two halves that needed to be printed separately before being glued together to form one solid support. Four bearings per filament spool would ensure secure holding for all the spools I wanted to display. Enough clips were necessary to keep the bearings firmly in place throughout the rack's length. A sufficient amount of 8mm smooth rod was required, which meant measuring my spools carefully, adding some extra room for flexibility, and then multiplying that number by the desired number of spools. Additionally, screws suitable for the surface I wanted to mount it on were a must-have.
