Filament spool low-friction roller - Anycubic Predator
thingiverse
The spool holder arm on my Predator printer is surprisingly robust, yet it isn't exactly designed for low friction feeding of filament. This clever adapter is a small accessory that sits atop the standard arm, and when paired with some spare wheels or ball bearings delivers remarkably smooth filament flow. In my setup, I utilized a set of spare Predator wheels, but identical size ball bearings would also work effectively. As an alternative, simply printing custom wheels would still provide a notable improvement in feeding performance. You can see that I employed a spare screw for the axle to avoid having to print one, although that option is available as well. The adapter's design results in a very snug fit around the arm - I had to carefully file down the inner walls to facilitate easy clipping on.
