Filament Spool
thingiverse
Update: The Basic Spool took an eternity to print, so I've reduced the amount of filament needed. The updated spool is called Simple Spool. If you just want a spool that can be printed quickly and without all the frills, print the Simple Spool. I've also added a spool called Fancy Spool. This will take a long time to print and will require numerous supports, so only use this one if you really want something that'll stand out! I strongly advise against printing the Basic Spool, as the Simple Spool achieves the same result and uses less time and filament. --- This spool is designed for 1kg of filament, but it can probably hold slightly more. I have a Filastruder and was searching for something to spool my filament on. I found no spools that would suit my needs on Thingiverse, so I went ahead and created my own. The dimensions are based off the Prusa spool, but I added a few little cool extras. For example, the narrow strip down the face of one of the sides allows you to see how much filament is remaining on the spool. The little holes on both sides of the spool can be used to put filament through and keep the spool from unraveling. This is Version 1, so if you have any ideas for me to update, just post them in the comments. Additionally, you may want to try printing this upright. I've only tried it sideways, but upright may use less support and time. If you are unable to print this and want one, I can print it for you: https://www.3dhubs.com/service/222404
