Filament Spool Hub with skate bearing (56mm bore)
thingiverse
This holds filament on a tight 8mm shaft for skate bearings, requiring a small hammer to fit securely in place, but once secured, it won't budge. Naturally, you'll need two of these. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusai3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Notes: As these were my first prints on this new printer, the settings I used may not be optimal. For better results, place the widest section at the bottom to avoid needing supports. I used 0% infill and double outline to minimize material usage. Design Process Five-minute design time I created this using Solidworks, a tool I also rely on for my work. The design consists of one revolution with a repeated hollowing effect.
