Filament Spool Hub
thingiverse
I created this spool hub to address a problem with salvaging 3D Systems Cube cartridges. Their cardboard spools didn't hold up well outside the case. This solves the issue by using only parts A and B. Part C was added to make this elegant little emergency spool. This little spool holds about a quarter pound of filament when using CDs or DVDs as flanges. You can cut flanges from cardboard or any medium you can fabricate into useful flanges. The center diameter is approximately 2 inches. The hub's core diameter will be 2-3/4 inches when using the center spacer. With this file you will be able to print Filament Spool Hub with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Filament Spool Hub.
