Filament Spool Hook for Deezmaker Bukobot
thingiverse
There are simple one-piece solutions for holding your filament spool, including this: a hook that snaps onto the frame of your Bukobot. One piece is all you need. No fancy printed bearings or axles are required - just no screws or fasteners whatsoever. It really grips in and around the slots on the frame rails and hangs there solidly. But isn't smoothly gliding motion important for printer performance? I don't know... this works just fine! Think of it like this: if your print head can handle enough torque to push filament into the heated cup, it's definitely strong enough not to be bothered by a bit of tug on the spool without any bearings. I ditched the lazy susan (you can still see it in one photo) and now I'm using just this - it totally works for me! The lazy susan spins freely, but filament has to make an extra 90-degree turn to get to the print head, which was a problem with brittle filament. This is made to fit spools with the 2.1" center hole. This piece might be on the bigger side, but if you have a printer it can fit on, you can just print this big piece. Place it flat side down. I made mine out of PLA with 20% fill and a 1mm shell.
