I don't want to clutter my desk with the spool holder, there's no room left. Anyway, I have a stash of 3mm x 8mm x 4mm ball bearings and 3M screws with nuts lying around from another project that wrapped up in just one day. It should be built using a larger rod - something like 5M or 6M would work well.
