I'm creating brackets to hold my filament spools against the wall using a 3D printer. These brackets are designed to fit around a 40mm PVC tube of any length, just add more in the middle for longer tubes. A one meter tube can easily store 12-13 spools. These brackets are made from PLA and I simulated their strength using SolidWorks. The results show that a single bracket can withstand a force of 110N with a maximum stress of 5MPa and a maximum displacement of 1.4mm, which is well within the limits for PLA materials.
