Filament Spool Holder (Sidewinder X1 Edition)
thingiverse
This is a remix of the "100% printable filament spool holder". Instead of using printed ball bearings, the ball bearings supplied with the Sidewinder X1 are used here. The Spool Holder can be easily adjusted in width by pulling it apart or together. For added stability, I recommend attaching non-slip pads or tape to the feet of the bracket (check out this option: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LUL1T4O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). The ball bearing must be pressed firmly into the wheels from behind. It should not be loose to prevent it from turning out. You can see what this looks like in the pictures. If you prefer, you can mount the wheels directly onto the ball bearings (as shown in a picture). To connect the filament runout sensor experimentally, follow these steps. However, keep in mind that this feature is not yet fully developed. When attaching the arm, you'll need a slightly longer screw (at least M5x25mm). You can use the cable provided with the device or create a cable extension like I did. Enjoy building! Special thanks to motoz for their contribution.
