If a bearing doesn't appeal to you, check out this model: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1001987 The design features a 608Z ball bearing which is readily available at most hardware stores. Spool holders were built in as a precaution, measuring 8mm between the guides since my filament spools typically are 7mm wide on the edge. I initially made a stand that attached directly to the printer but changed course after a member of my printer support forum reported a near-disaster when a holder broke free due to gravity, causing him to have to replace his glass bed. So I came up with this new version instead.
