Filament Spool Holder/Nest

Filament Spool Holder/Nest

I came up with Phil (the happy filament holder), but I had to admit it wasn't perfect. It was nice, BUT... it didn't have enough grip. ALSO I wanted something that would be super easy to print and put together. So here's my take on a filament spool holder. Check out this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qb5b9bT_ctE And another one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxHD9UFWC58 You'll need: A 3D printer (obviously) 4 Ball Bearings 8mm (center) 22mm outside. I used some old roller-blades bearings from my son's skate set - nice score!) A cup of coffee while waiting for the print to finish Super Glue (optional) This design is perfect for spools that are 68mm wide, but you can turn them around for bigger spools or push them closer together for narrower ones. I also created a .stl file with just the linkbars, so you can scale them up to any size you want. Hope you enjoy this DIY project.
