Filament Spool Holder
thingiverse
Spotting a pressing need for a spool holder during my print job, I stumbled upon a large roll of solder and a desoldering sucker tool, cleverly transformed them into an impressive spool holder. However, this makeshift solution ultimately proved temporary when I required the solder. This oversight prompted me to ponder a more sustainable solution. Why not repurpose other filament reels as the base and build from there? I designed my spool holder around utilizing a 17-18mm pole for central support, depending on the accuracy of your printer's calibration. Fortunately, I had a few spare poles lying around, which I showcased in the photo. The center support is actually a plastic pipe salvaged from a broken children's toy. As seen in the video, this spool holder performed admirably during my experiment, even when paired with a printer that spectacularly failed to produce one of majda107's test prints. The spool holder, however, rose to the challenge and worked flawlessly!
