Filament Spool Holder for PRUSA 3D Printer

<p>This item is a filament spool holder designed for the injection molded plastic support, which comes with the MK3S Prusa 3D Printer.<br/> Any brand of 1 Kg filament spool can be accommodated on this rotating support, which rotates around a shaft. This way less friction is encountered and it will take less space in the vertical direction.</p> <p>Optionally, the filament spool can be kept in its original box after a hole is punched in one of its sides, in order to accommodate the shaft with is cylindrical roller. This way the filament is protected from dust and in the same time collects the heat, which rises from the heated bed to dry the filament.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Using The gCode Files<br/> This can be printed in any material, but I chose to include the gCode prepared for PLA. If you want to print this in some other material, just use the included stl file.<br/> For the shaft I used 10 mm skirt for the other part no need.</p> <p>Using The stl File<br/> This stl file is orientated correctly for printing. As in most of my prints, this is designed to not use supports. I printed this with 100% infill for maximum strength and 0.20 layer height.</p> <p>Installing The Spool Holder<br/> The filament spool holder is deigned to snap onto the plastic T shaped frame from the front side of the printer (please use the picture of the actual print above as a reference.) It has been designed to be a tight fit.</p>
