During Rostock BI edition development, we tested various PLA filament spools and realized the importance of a versatile system when dealing with different inner diameters. Thus, we designed our spool holder to allow easy switching between multiple spool types, prioritizing stability, reliability, and adaptability. Our spool holder consists of three main parts: the base, rotating platform, and spool adaptor. To suit your specific spools, modify and print various spool adaptors using the provided Sketchup model and .stl files for different spool dimensions. Assemble it following the exploded view, ensuring the M4 nut stays in place by threading into the plastic. For optimal performance, print the holder in PLA or ABS with an infill over 30%.
