Filament Spool Holder

Filament Spool Holder

Here is a spool holder I created for my Creality Ender 3. I saw many nice designs on Thingiverse, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that met the following criteria: - Rolls smoothly - Can be rotated to any angle for mounting - Uses standard 608 bearings (8mmx22mmx7mm) such as those used on a skateboard - Allows the original bayonet style "nut" to be reused in mounting What I came up with may look similar to some of the other spool holders, but met my specific requirements. I used the bearings and screws I had on hand, it was easy to assemble, and it rolls quite easily. To make this spool holder, you will need the following: - Filament Spool Holder Mount (1) - Filament Spool Holder (2) - 608 Bearings (2) - M4x16 Hex Socket Button Head Cap Screw (2) When assembling, the bearings are an intentionally tight fit on the spool holder. I used a small block of wood and a hammer to tap them in place. The spool holder can be rotated on the metal bracket as needed, allowing the bracket to be mounted on top of the printer, on the side, or at an angle from the base. This was designed for use with full-size spools that have a 50mm-55mm diameter center spool opening (such as Hatchbox or similar).
