I created this for the 3D printing nerd spool holder challenge at https://youtu.be/lKmNluRGY8M, but didn't finish testing it until after the contest had ended. It works great, though - that's not the direction I ultimately took with my filament storage setup. This particular design rests on a sturdy 1"x2" french cleat and features a support tube that's specifically designed to be printed lying flat with no supports needed at all. The entire assembly is incredibly stiff and rigid as a result.
