__2019-01-12 Revision (r1):__\r\nThis revision introduces *TAB* & "Groove" features, providing positive alignment of the sides to the base,\r\n- Reduces width of the base by 5mm for accommodating thinner spools.\r\n\r\nThe *Prusa i3 MK2S* excels as a printer, particularly suited for hobbyists or light industrial desktop users. Though a raw printer without extensive accessories, this is the Third in a series of accessories I designed specifically for the *i3*. Other popular spool holders also fail to fit satisfactorily.\r\n\r\nThis *Filament Spool Holder* is designed to sit atop the enclosure, directly above the print head path, and release filament through a *Filament Guide* to the print head.\r\n\r\nThe design incorporates large, low-cost ball bearings as resting places for standard width 67mm spools from manufacturers like Inland, Hatchbox, and others. Other widths can be accommodated by removing one or both sides of the base and manually positioning them on the enclosure surface as needed. \r\n\r\nUsing large ball bearings provides a nearly friction-free unspooling mechanism that minimizes filament drag on the print head.
