I was searching for a filament holder suitable for my custom 3D printer. Given its minimalist design, I sought an option that could be easily mounted on a 2020 rail while also utilizing bearings to ensure smooth rolling action. To meet this requirement, I combined two existing designs to create a device that can effortlessly be attached to the top, side, or underside of any rail with minimal hassle. If you're looking to enhance this design, incorporating a quick-disconnect mechanism would make spool changing significantly easier and less prone to jams, which is a major plus in my book.
