Filament Spool Hanger (Parametric)

Filament Spool Hanger (Parametric)

I purchased a FlashForge Dreamer as an extra printer and I'm quite fond of it, aside from the fact that it's built to accommodate small internal filament spools. I have various colors of filament stored in larger spools, which posed a problem for me. My solution to this issue is to drill two holes into the back edge of the lid and add two 6-inch Bowden-like tubes to guide filament from holders on the rear of the printer. This design features one such spool holder. Printing with ABS, you can secure the holders onto the back of the case using Acetone solvent-glue. This method should also work effectively for the Dremel 3D Idea Builder, which is essentially a re-branded FlashForge Dreamer but with only a single extruder. To start printing, I recommend setting the infill density to high levels. Although it's best to print in ABS, it isn't mandatory. If adjustments need to be made to this design: First, unpack the zip file and then edit the .scad file by adjusting the parameters as necessary. Open the .scad file using OpenSCAD, select "Render from Design," go to "File->Export" and choose "Export as STL..." Finally, save the STL file, slice it, and start printing.
