Filament Spool
thingiverse
Design your own filament holder due to unavailability of suitable ones, this DIY enthusiast crafted a spool based on the derivative "filament_guide_v4". This is their first entry, and they hope you'll enjoy it! To assemble, clip the holder between M8 threaded rods and nuts. The spool requires two of the model's parts, with 608ZZ bearings inserted. Cut M6 threaded rods to desired length (around 20cm) and tighten M6 nuts with washers in between. Two nuts on top of the M8 rod lock the spool in place. Print two spools for different materials or ease of use. Holes in the spool adjust diameter and act as a filament starting point. The BOM includes 2x Spool.stl, 1x Spoolholder.stl, an M8 threaded rod (20-30cm), 3x M6 threaded rods (20-30cm), 12x M6 nuts, 12x M6 washers, 4x M8 nuts, a few M8 washers, and 2x 608ZZ bearings.
