Filament spool for short sections

I designed this spool to hold short sections (e.g. ~10m) of filament that I've purchased but came without a spool. The outer diameter is substantial so it won't require coiling the filament tightly to place it on the spool. This spool is easily unscrewable, allowing you to add and remove the filament without re-winding it. I released this design under the GNU GPL as it incorporates the threads.scad library. I'm unsure if I can apply the GPL to just the scad files and CC-BY-SA to the stl files, which would be my preferred arrangement.
