This design enables you to utilize cost-effective unspooled filament alongside Thingiverse's PVC filament spool holder (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18115). In my case, I adjusted the center hole size to perfectly fit the PVC pipe and prevent rapid unraveling. My ABS prototype is functional; however, it remains uncertain how well this would work with PLA. For improved design, a single-piece arm construction may be considered, but overall, this creation performs admirably.
