Ninjatek produces exceptional flexible filament. However, when they introduced the 1kg spool option, they reused spools originally designed for 500g filament. This results in a smaller diameter that causes the filament to fall off and tangle during printing. Additionally, it prevents the spool from standing upright on rolling mounts. In my "Made in Basement" YouTube series, I address this issue in detail: https://youtu.be/na1naeLyRdI To resolve this problem, I designed larger rims for the spool, which can be laser cut or 3D printed. To secure the hubs to the rims, I used M3 screws and nylock nuts. An M8 or 5/16 bolt holds both sides of the assembly together (alternatively, a threaded rod can be used). If you lack access to a laser cutter, you can simply print the rims instead.
