I created this upgraded filament spool clip inspired by Thing #270739, addressing the original design's drawbacks. Initially, I encountered issues with the filament slipping out through the hole due to its inadequate retention mechanism and inconsistent pressure against the spool's varying diameters. To overcome these limitations, I made two key enhancements: Firstly, I added a supportive tab adjacent to the hole, applying continuous pressure against the filament, preventing it from falling back into the gap. Secondly, I narrowed the clip's resting position, ensuring a more secure grip on the spool and preventing slippage caused by uneven tensions.
