Filament Spool Clip
thingiverse
After many trials and prints of so many filament clips for spools, I feel this is the one that works the way I want it to. I think you'll find it is easy to use and hopefully can be of help. Nothing is more frustrating as having a print job going and a couple of hours later, find out it failed because of a crisscross with the spool. With this design, the FLAT side is best on the inside of the spool but it will work either way. I've also designed the hole width at 2.27mm and tapering out to 3.5mm so you won't have to feel like you are threading a needle. This will allow simple insert and should give you just enough friction to keep it in place. I also reduced the gap so it is a really snug fit. This is helpful for spools that are thin. Summary: Tapered hole to work with 1.75 to 3mm Tightened spread of clip I have tried it on quite a few spools and had no problems. Happy to provide the Fusion 360 or STEP file if you want. Good luck!
