Update: 2019-07-09 1) Check out the latest version on this here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3737157 Update: 2018-02-03 1) Revised roller base is designed for 200 and 160mm diameter spools. 2) Rubbermaid case collar, slightly longer than original, has been added. The 5 and 10 cup Rubbermaid containers are ideal for my setup. These versions together fit perfectly with 200mm diameter and up to 85mm wide spools. For 160mm diameter spools, the 16 cup version is just what I need. http://www.rubbermaid.com/en-US/modular-canisters Similar (and cheaper) containers are available. I got a pair of the 5/10 cup similar containers on sale at Canadian Superstore for about $6. Base files base_200.stl and roller_cap.stl were printed using PLA, while the rest are in TPU. Rollers and caps were printed with 100% infill, collar at 15% infill. Use base_200 for spools with a diameter of 200mm or bigger, base_160 for spools with a diameter of 160mm or bigger. Rollers use 608 bearings and are bolted to the base using m4 20mm bolts. Push bearings into the middle of the rollers where they will be held in place, then bolt the bearing with a roller_cap to the base. Use an 8mm diameter drill bit for the tube grommet.
