Filament spool break
thingiverse
I use large filament spools that weigh 2 kg and have a diameter of 300 mm. These spools are supported by two ball bearings, which allows them to unroll themselves due to the high mass and good bearings. This filament spool brake is easy to design, flexible, and works well. The arm is slightly bent and adapts to the radius of the filament spool. To print this part, support material is required. A felt slide can be easily glued to the cylindrical head. The arm attaches to the base with an M3 x 25 mm screw. A simple rubber band can be used to adjust the clamping force and thus the braking effect. I would greatly appreciate a donation through PayPal.
