These designs are engineered to utilize four each (4x) 6203-2RS ball bearings, a low-cost, reliable, and widely available component that converts the filament spool bracket on Craftbot machines into smooth, low-friction spool holders that are easy to use. The 6203-2RS ball bearings measure 17x40x12 (17mm ID x 40mm OD x 12 wide/thick). The second item needed in addition to the ball bearings is two each (2x) 4-in (1-1/2 ID, non-mini) Paint Roller Covers with a 3/8-in to 1/2-in nap thickness. https://tinyurl.com/u5pgehj These paint roller covers slide over the bearings and ensure compatibility with various filament spool inner diameters since many only vary by a few millimeters for spools weighing between 0.5kg and 2.0kg. Larger 5kg spools may not work with this design due to their smaller spool ID. The base file was designed in DesignSpark Mechanical 4.0, but you can also edit it using ANSYS direct modeling software like Space Claim.
