Two assemblies fit on either side of a filament reel. A length of M8 threaded rod slides into holes in bearings and rests on spool brackets available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1565465. These new brackets are almost frictionless, eliminating one cause of Z-axis issues. Stepped discs match sizes of centre-holes in three common filament spools. Two end disc copies and a spool adaptor are all you need apart from two 22x7x8mm bearings, six M3 x 10mm machine screws, a length of M8 threaded rod, two nuts, and washers.
