Another multi-material extravaganza unfolds with ABS, stainless steel, and wood! 3D printers are indeed awesome, but there's no reason why everything needs to be printed on the fly. I firmly believe that this creation strikes a perfect balance between print time, strength, and pure fun. You can customize the A-frame to any size you desire - I've sized mine specifically for Hatchbox spools. The feet feature adhesive foam to keep it running whisper-quiet and prevent it from sliding around on the print table. The upgrade to this version over 2536625 has relocated the 608 bearings outside the spool flanges, addressing a major defect in the original design: the spool would often come loose during use. The new spool holder flanges now feature 1/4-in X 20 stainless nuts that thread onto the spool axle. I applied thread locker to one flange for added stability, while the other remains free to be threaded on and off. If you already own a 2536625 version, the only components that have changed are: BearingHolderChamfer.stl SpoolAdaptorNutPlugChamfer.stl SpoolAdaptor54mmTaperChamfer.stl The rods and A-frame geometry remain unchanged. This sturdy creation can easily support multiple 1kg spools. All you need to do is make it tall enough for your largest diameter spool and as wide as needed for multiple spools, assuming they have the same inner diameter. You can explore various spool axles available on Thingiverse, including this nice one (not mine), which is perfect if you have different spool hub sizes: www.thingiverse.com/thing:767317
