Filament Spool
thingiverse
Spool loose filament now.\r\n\r\nFusion 360 design link: http://a360.co/2BDdCvq\r\n\r\nPrinters use this to print loose filament (like samples and leftovers), the open sides make it easy to bundle the loose filament with zip ties (if carefully keeping track of the ends, it won't tangle) and remove it from the spool.\r\n\r\nThe printed spool in images is PETG and weighs 190 grams. I prefer it sturdy but it can be made with less thickness to save plastic (just change parameters in Fusion 360). The STL files for download have a spool diameter of 90 mm, inner width of 50 mm and the rim diameter of 200 mm. There are holes for fixing the filament that are 2.1 mm in diameter.\r\n\r\nIt should be usable for filament refills like https://www.dasfilament.de/filament-refill/pla-1-75-mm, but I have not tried it yet. Will update next time I buy filament.
