Filament Spindle v1.1
cults3d
Rob (tinkerings) requested that I craft a crystal spool for his prized crystal Cupcake, prompting me to introduce several enhancements:\n\nSimplify loading and disassembling the spindle.\nEnhance coupling between spindles and between the spindle and the bot.\nPrevent binding by keeping the filament from slipping under the spool.\nTo achieve this, I designed the spindle case with a keying system, allowing stacked cases to securely lock together. Additionally, I added a top tray for the Cupcake to sit on, which is also keyed and features slots for the bolt heads on the bot's side. This enables easy removal of the tray for access to the spool. The spool itself is secured by a single M5 bolt at its top, making disassembly simple when reloading is necessary. To further prevent filament from binding under the spool, I incorporated PETG fingers around its base.
