Filament Sharpener

Filament Sharpener

STL part file units are in inches!! These slight mods to idig3d's filament sharpener design worked for me, but I needed a better tip on my filament. After printing the original design, it worked 'ok', but I couldn't get a good point on my filament. The problem was likely due to the blade being too close to the filament, which is probably just a result of print tolerances. I tweaked the file so that the hole for the filament was more to-size and moved away from the blade to cut the filament better. I made two versions: one with a +0.0075" spacing from the blade and the other with a +0.015" spacing from the blade, based on what the original file was. For me, the +0.0075" design works best and gives a great point on the filament. The +0.015" is too aggressive, but at least there are now three versions you can try.
