Mechanical Filament Sensor. Inside, there's a final stop switch (like the one in the picture) that's normally closed by filament pressure. When the filament runs out, the endstop opens up, and it triggers an Arduino input. You can check Marlin configuration to set up your sensor and filament detection option. The mounting part is designed specifically for Prusa I3 Steel printers.
