I got this filament sensor: https://www.banggood.com/1_75mm-Filament-Material-Detection-Sensor-Module-For-3D-Printer-p-1244283.html

There was way too much friction. So I redesigned the housing to use two small pieces of bowden tubing. This also lets the sensor fit nicely on the Titan extruder.

Drill all the way through with a 2mm drill bit so the filament can pass.

Also carefully drill both ends with a 4mm drill until you reach the depth stop.

use 2x M3 Brass inserts in the bottom of the housing, and 2x 10mm M3 screws on the top of the housing.

Interactive model viewer and Fusion360 download link: https://a360.co/2MA0uKH

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

TEVO

Printer:

Tarantula

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

20%

Notes:

Only the bottom part needs a tiny bit of support.

Category: 3D Printer Extruders
