Filament sensor
thingiverse
This is a very basic and rapid-to-print filament sensor, requiring just an end-stop sensor - I utilized one from my Tarantula 3D printer, as seen in the attached picture and dimensions. In addition, you will need two M2 bolts with nuts; twenty millimeters would suffice. Next, simply solder the three wires, and you're done: left, center, and signal right. You may need to experiment with the plus and minus connections to ensure the signal is correct. Be cautious not to damage your board - incorrect plus and minus connections can cause the computer to report no filament present even when it's there, or vice versa. I have connected this sensor to my LCD display. For optimal results, print this design with the arrow facing downwards on the heating bed. The interior must be spotless.
