Filament sample with paper insert
prusaprinters

Lots of good, well designed filament samples out there, but for storing your filament information there are a few options:

Write with your sharpee on the sample - doesn't work for me

Use a label printer to print filament details - don't have a label printer

Design a filament sample for every type of filament you have - too much hassle

So let's make things easy: a filament sample, credit card sized, in which you can stick a piece of paper holding all the information you think is important for your filament sample.

The paper insert should be dimensioned 40 x 32 [mm]. Not really big but should be able to hold all the information you to store. A sample is included in the downloads (be aware your printer might scale the print, therefor a "calibration line" of 120 [mm] is added).

No supports are needed for the slot where the paper slides in. Do print with a 0.2 [mm] layer height.

How to store the filament samples? That's up to you! I'm sure your design for that will have a nice spot on printables.com ;-)

When you miss a material, let me know and I'll add it.

Enjoy!
