I've always struggled with printing filament samples using traditional methods, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a solution that meets my needs. This is the result of my efforts. I designed it using Fusion 360, keeping things simple and straightforward. Essentially, it's a filament spool split in two parts that fit together seamlessly due to one side's slightly smaller inner cylinder. My primary objective was to make it easy and quick to load or unload a filament sample without having to unravel the entire spool and try to accommodate it on a different reel.
