Filament Sample Coin
prusaprinters

Despite the abundance of filament sample files/swatches/keychains/tags available, I wanted to create something even simpler. The result is this customizable OpenSCAD code that will create a small coin with basic filament information - manufacturer, material, and color - embossed on the surface. I've taken to printing two of these for each filament I use - one as-is (left side in the photo), and one with the top surfaces ironed (right side in the photo). Now I have a collection of chips/coins that show me what each filament looks like in both states.

You can use the parameters interface in OpenSCAD to adjust the size of the coin, the text, and the size of each line of text. Or you can do all of that in the code directly. Longer text may require smaller text size to fit on a coin with a certain diameter.

I'm also going to upload the stackable holder that I designed for these.
