Filament Runout Sensor - for Makerbot/RepRap/Geetech mechanical endstop
thingiverse
A mechanical endstop casing for a filament runout sensor. For use with mechanical endstops. - Required: 2 - M3x12 screws that screw directly into the plastic - Works well with: PLA, 0.2mm layers, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.8mm perimeter, 10% infill, no support - Notes: It works better if your filament path is a straight line, usual curves can cause friction. My copy works fine, but there's a noticeable difference between testing with a relatively straight section of filament and using it with a spool located close behind my i3, which implies a curved filament path. - 2018-04-21--19-15-06 I couldn't find mine, so printed another. The sensor didn't fit apparently because the plug on the mesh of one endstop is offset to one side, which is wrong. I have printed and used this stl before, but it seems I also have an endstop around here that is also weird. The other 5 new endstops were clearly not going to fit. Removed old version. Added fixed version: filamentRunoutSensor-PRINTORIENTED.stl
