Filament runout sensor for Ender 3 and Sapphire Pro
thingiverse
Filament runout sensor cover is built to enable filament to pass through it in both directions, ensuring that it can be easily unloaded without getting jammed in the sensor. To achieve this, the endstop switch used for this purpose needs a rounded edge, as shown in one of the accompanying photos. Originally designed for mounting on Ender 3, this design now also includes an additional mount suitable for use with Sapphire Pro. STL files provided include: * main_generic - can be used on any printer and mounted using screws that hold the cover for the endstop switch * main_ender - integrated with a mount specifically designed for Ender 3 printers and is mounted next to the Z lead screw * cover - holds in place the endstop switch * sapphire_mount - a simple part that allows mounting of the sensor on Sapphire Pro. The long slots can be used to align the sensor position with the extruder if an extruder dumper is used, as I am.
