Filament Runout Sensor Enclosure (Micro-Switch)
thingiverse
This is a compact filament sensor enclosure designed to house a filament sensor that utilizes a PTFE tube to guide the filament. The PTFE tube, precision-cut to expose the filament to a micro-switch with ball bearing, minimizes friction on the filament even during retraction. Mounted atop a BMG extruder, the sensor's lightweight design ensures it won't interfere with the printing process. The PTFE tube is securely fastened through the PTFE coupling, providing a stable and reliable connection. The updated version of this enclosure features an added feature: a blocker for the PTFE tube that prevents it from sliding out of the box. This design enhancement ensures seamless operation and improved print quality.
