Filament Runout Sensor - Direct Drive
thingiverse
This sensor mount utilizes a Trianglelab filament runout sensor. It is attached directly to the roller carriage provided by printermods.com for direct drive conversions. The sensor's output is aligned with the extruder and fed directly into it. I'm using an aluminum extruder setup, but this will also work with standard extruders as long as you have the printermods.com direct drive setup installed. This setup does not compromise z height, but ensure your filament holder is mounted high to take full advantage of maximum z height. I typically print at 100-150mm in z height, so I mount my filament on a shelf beside the printer. To install: 4x M3 - 0.5 x 30mm screws (the screws included with the Trianglelab kit are too short due to offset).
