A Compact Filament Release Sensor Designed for Easy Integration Requiring only a tiny micro switch: Dimensions: 20 x 10 x 6mm (L X W X H) plus 2 M3 bolts about 6-8mm long. The Bowden Tube can be inserted into the larger end to securely fasten the box to an existing system. This sensor is compatible with a BMG dual drive (clone), as demonstrated in the image, but it should work seamlessly with any setup that features a Bowden tube for filament management. The closer the release point is to the Hotend, the less material will be wasted during printing. No supports are needed; this design prints easily. It was printed using ABS in my unit for added heat resistance, although this feature is not strictly necessary. Fusion files are provided for users who want to print their own sensors.
