Filament runout housing
thingiverse
Small housing crafts an end stop switch enclosure, utilized as a filament runout sensor. Once printed, insert a microswitch based endstop and align it so that filament flows from top to bottom unobstructed. Secure the switch in place without triggering the sensor by inserting it as far as possible. Next, use hot glue to firmly attach it. The endstop can be connected to a GPIO on a raspberry pi and integrated with the filament sensor reloaded plugin for octoprint found at https://github.com/kontakt/Octoprint-Filament-Reloaded.
