You can slide this intake into your filament roll so that it doesn't wiggle around on the standard spool holder, which is often too small. Place one bearing at each end of the intake. I used "608ZZ 8 x 22 x 7 mm Deep Groove Ball Bearing" from Amazon, which are very affordable. This Intake works with filament rolls that have an inner diameter of 52mm, such as the "HATCHBOX PLA 3D Printer Filament, Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.03 mm, 1 kg Spool, 1.75 mm, Black" on Amazon. The spool Holder mounts to the upper rail using regular M5 screws that hold the frame in place. This allows it to feed filament very smoothly into the feeder underneath. To assemble the spool holder, simply stick each knob into a bearing and then place the spool onto the holder. Printing: When printing this spool holder, you'll need to provide some support for it. I placed mine with one side against the bed and recommend adding support to other parts as well. However, the knobs don't require any support. I printed the spool holder with 20% infill, while using 80% infill for the knobs. I also used black Hatchbox PLA and set my print temperature to 200 Degrees Celsius, with a bed temperature of 65 Degrees Celsius in the beginning, gradually lowering it to 55 Degrees Celsius.
